HOLA was proudly founded by a
Canadian/Colombian family in February 2020,
and since then, they have been actively involved
with HOLA in various roles.
They chose the name HOLA
because it symbolizes greeting and bringing people together.
To add depth to HOLA, each letter represents what it stands for:
H for Hispanic, O and L for Open Learning, which means moving away from traditional education methods.
The journey began with an extra-curricular language program at Hollywood Public School, where the founder’s children went to. HOLA has since expanded rapidly within the Toronto School Boards and currently operates in six different facilities. The Headquarters were established in Toronto at the end of 2023 and a second location was opened in Whitby in January 2024.
HOLA’s mission is to immerse each student fully in the Spanish language and culture by engaging the five senses during classes.
Hola offers diverse programs designed by a Curriculum Specialist
and delivered by our team of Certified and Native Teachers.
These programs cater to students of all ages
and proficiency levels,
ensuring that they speak Spanish in an
effective way while having fun.
To create a joyful and open learning environment that shares the Spanish Culture through language, play and community.
To spread the beautiful Language of Spanish to the World.
Keep students excited about learning Spanish, even after they leave the class, by showing them how fun and useful it’s in the real world.
Contribute and give back to the community. Part of the enrolment fee is donated and used to fund scholarships to students in need.
